I recently discovered airbikes, and I’m absolutely hooked! They’re an incredible way to get a full-body workout, burn calories, and improve your cardiovascular health. In this blog post, I’ll share some of the benefits of using an airbike for cardio and HIIT training.

Boky doing an airbike workout.
This is me doing an airbike workout. I love how airbikes provide a full-body workout and can burn more then 800 calories per hour!

Full-body workout

One of the things I love most about airbikes is that they provide a full-body workout. Unlike traditional exercise bikes, which primarily work your lower body, airbikes engage your upper body as well. This is because the moving handles require you to push and pull with your arms, while the pedals work your legs. As a result, you’ll get a more comprehensive workout that targets all your major muscle groups.

High-intensity interval training (HIIT)

Airbikes are also perfect for HIIT training. HIIT is a type of exercise that alternates between short bursts of intense activity and periods of rest. This type of training is incredibly effective for burning calories and improving cardiovascular health. Airbikes are ideal for HIIT because the resistance increases as you pedal faster, so you can easily adjust your intensity.

Burns calories

Airbikes are a great way to burn calories. In fact, you can burn up to 800 calories per hour on an airbike! This is because the resistance is constantly changing, so your body has to work harder to maintain your pace.

Improves cardiovascular health

Airbikes are also a great way to improve your cardiovascular health. Regular exercise strengthens your heart and lungs, which can help to reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, and other chronic conditions.

Relatively short workouts

One of the best things about airbike workouts is that they can be relatively short. A 20-minute airbike workout can be just as effective as a 60-minute traditional cardio workout. This is because the intensity of the workout is so high.

My Airbike Workout

I recently did a 3-round airbike workout that consisted of 10 seconds of high-intensity effort followed by 20 seconds of moderate-intensity effort. I did 8 rounds of this in each circle.

Airbike Availability in Gyms

Airbikes are becoming increasingly popular in gyms. If you don’t have one at home, you can easily find one at your local gym.

Conclusion

If you’re looking for a new way to get a great workout, I highly recommend trying an airbike. It’s a fun and effective way to burn calories, improve your cardiovascular health, and get a full-body workout.
